Creating A Unique Wedding Book

Creating A Unique Wedding Book

Creating A Unique Wedding BookWedding scrapbooks are a great way to create a one-of-a-kind memento of your big day at The Park Savoy with pictures and notes left by friends and family.   Traditionally, wedding books take the form of a large binder that you can purchase from your local book seller/ craft store and fill with items from your wedding day.  But there are many other options for creating a truly unique wedding book that diverge from the traditional big binder while retaining a unique sensibility that can encourage your guests to leave truly special messages. Here are some ideas for creating a unique wedding book:

  • Take A Picture: Pictures are a great way to capture the special moment of your wedding day.  Provide your guests with a Polaroid camera so that they can snap a picture and write a note to truly personalize their message.
  • Natural Inspiration: Depending on the theme of your wedding, you can extend that idea to your wedding book. For example, if you have a nautical theme, you can provide guests with freshly collected sea shells upon which they can write their messages. Or provide smooth rocks for your guests to sign with oil markers.
  • Wedding Mad Libs: A fun spin on traditional messages, provide your guests with mad lib style notes so that they can fill in the blanks with their personal messages to the bride and groom.
  • Love Notes: By providing elegant letter-pressed blank notes, your guests can write personal letters to the bride and groom expressing their feelings about your wedding.  Have the notes in two baskets with one containing the blank notes and the other holding the completed ones.
  • Classic Postcards: Available at most vintage stores, you can collect vintage postcards from all over the world to give your guests the chance to find the perfect postcard upon which to leave their wedding day messages.
  • Jigsaw Pieces: For those couples that enjoy a fun game, place a photo of the bride and groom onto a jigsaw puzzle and let your guests sign the individual pieces.  After the wedding, the couple can then relish putting the puzzle pieces together.

As with any element of your wedding, there are many more unique ideas through which to create a truly singular wedding scrapbook.  Overall, try to work the theme of your wedding into your wedding album idea and have the book reflect you and your partner’s styles.  Using these ideas as a starting point, you’ll be certain to create yourown, unique wedding memories.
