Wedding Themes to Look Out for this Fall

Chances are that if you’re reading this and are getting married this fall, you already have a wedding theme nailed down and ready. And if not, well, maybe give us a call? But seriously, when looking at many of the trends of 2016 and seeing which ones translate best to autumn is a great way to get ideas, especially if you have a wedding planned for Fall 2017.

First up, while the vintage look has held sway for a while now, it looks like it’s going to be around at least a few more years, with the requisite adaptations of course. This year, the metallic trend is one that definitely lends itself to a vintage theme with metallic making for perfect bridal adornments and table accents. But if you just want to stick with some pearls, lace, and some gin cocktails, well, we wouldn’t hold it against you, to say the least. Also, while the BoHo trend lends itself more to spring and summer, going with a more subdued color palette could make for a nice dovetail with the vintage look.

Indeed, there’s definitely an air of nostalgia hanging over recent fall wedding seasons and this one seems no different, with Forest weddings—inspired from such literary sources as Twilight and Lord of the Rings—gaining traction since the founder of Napster had his massive Tolkien-inspired wedding in the woods of Big Sur. But by having the ceremony in the autumnal twilight will cast every photo in a magnetic, warm glow.

In keeping with the majestically-themed nature of the fairytale and dusk trends, why not do a wedding away, but one that most of your guests can make it to? After all, whisking away upstate to a cabin or out in our neck of the woods and making a weekend of your wedding is another great way to make it a memorable experience for everyone attending.

Of course, with all of these, we’d be remiss not to mention that personalization is still a key factor, but there’s also no harm in looking to others for inspiration.
